High K fertilizer??

Hello all

First, an Indiana newbie update. All 7 pumpkin plants are exceeding all of
my possible thoughts of how large they would grow!! The 735 Pukos is best
with a basketball sized pumpkin set the Beechy crosses are very close
behind, both have pumpkins set. The 1049 Cox is slightly slower with one set
and one pollinated today. The 245 Walters is much smaller but catching up
and has two fruits set. The two early "shelf" seed plants have pumpkins set
one is bushel basket sized the other is estimated at 102 lbs but is a very
short pumpkin, has the look of a wagon wheel. The state fair is about a
month away. By Far this is the largest pumpkin I have ever grown!! I think
everything is going pretty well except for the ten inches of rain in the
past week. I want to thanks everyone on the list for the help so far!!!

Now the Question: When should I start the high K fertilizer on the plants
that have small pumpkins? I already started it on the shelf seed pumpkins
shortly after fruit set should I wait until the pumpkins get a certain size
or what????? Also How much fertilizer can the plants take?? A pound a
week per plant or less or more? Im guessing because I have no idea how much
fert these monster plants can take. I have Miller water soluble 20-20-20 and
Miller water soluble 4-2-41 I also have some chelated calcium, now I need
some advice on how to grow them BIG.

Thanks Steve
