Thanks Dave. Someone tells me I can buy Rotenone here in Canada and that will do the trick.

Dave,
Good luck, if you need the Scimitar, you may be able to get it here in the
U.S. and then have it shipped up to you in Canada, I don't think there
would be a problem getting it. I bought mine from ProSource One
(www.prosourceone.com), tell them you are using it for lawn care management.
It's about $75.00 per pint, but a pint goes a long ways,.... you use 1/2 to
2/3 teaspoon per gallon of water. It's a bargain if you consider the peace
of mind that it will give you knowing that it kills the SVB's. I was almost
out of this game due to the SVB and the frustrations it was causing.
Good luck.

Thanks Dave. I'm not sure if I can purchase Scimitar here in Canada but
I will try.

Dave,
It sounds to me like the SVB... are you spraying... they hatch the
eggs on
the under side of the leaves, they can lay many eggs, one on each
leaf, then
they burrow down the stalk to the vine.
I use Scimitar to control them, this is the only thing that worked for
me, I
was infested with Vine Borer and tried everything to no avail.
Warrior T
will also work, but you will need a license to purchase it.
Good luck.....

Subject: bug?
I found a large red bug flying around my plants this afternoon.
Elongated red body, red head and blackish wings. It seemed to be
flying
around depositing something on the underside of stalks. Is this one of
the dreaded SVB bugs or something else?
I didn't want to take any chances so I squashed it.
