I had splits in mine I just let it dry and buried it I have had no further
problems.

Hi Craig-
Can you please tell me ( and others are likely interested) what you are
doing with the aloe?  Does this stop the splitting?  I put capatan on my
split but it still looks like it might be growing.  Is the split a result
of unseen stress somewhere?  My split is not very deep and about an inch
long.  If the aloe does not work does anyone else have any suggetions to
stop the splitting and help it heal?
