RE: Aloe and splitting stem

Mike: The aloe heals the split, it does not address the cause. To relieve
the stress I move the vine or pumpkin or sometimes duct tape the vine at
both ends of the split to prevent the split from spreading. The aloe has
been great for me in healing over splits, but again it does not address the
cause. I skin the leaf and directly apply the aloe over the split.

Hi Craig-
Can you please tell me ( and others are likely interested) what you are
doing with the aloe? Does this stop the splitting? I put capatan on my
split but it still looks like it might be growing. Is the split a result
of unseen stress somewhere? My split is not very deep and about an inch
long. If the aloe does not work does anyone else have any suggetions to
stop the splitting and help it heal?
thanks
MT MIKE
