George B.--it is only a rough indicator and doesn't take shape into
account,you have to factor that in yourself,as with weather.

I'm just saying that if it is around 60" inches in 20 days then I am
satisfied with it and know that it has good potential.Other regions may have
a different ideal growth rate.

I believe if it is,say 15" smaller or larger,then it may be a problem

What consideration should I give hieght?  I have a very high Pumpkin (as
high
as it is wide) that reached 60" in 22 days.
