I just pollinated my first female by hand yesterday morning and am so
thrilled, I used two males from one of the other pumpkin vines and one
from the one the female was on. That is all that was open at the time.
I used a nylon sock to cover them with the night before like I had read
and it worked wonderfully.
I am so excited, I know it is probably a little late to get the big ,big,
big pumpkin, but next year thanks to all of you I will be ready to get
the big one.
We had such a long freeze season this year was still having frost the
second weed in june so didn't get them in the ground until after that.
