Spray the area the deer are bothering with Liquid Fence. The deer leave my patch alone (and also my beets, sunflowers, etc.) when I spray with Liquid Fence.
Is anyone growing the offspring of any 1446 Eaton x 1420.5 LaRue or vice versa? I am just curious on how they are doing.

Ok Guys, I need your help. We finally have pumpkins set on all of our plants and the vines are still running really fast. We have tried to keep the plants trimmed like a Christmas tree, but I am not sure how long to let the main vine get. Most of the plants have a main vine which is about 20 feet long. How long do you let them get before you stop letting them run?
We have a couple plants which keep having all new growth trimmed nightly by the deer, even with blood meal on the plants the buggers eat the growth and the new pumpkins. But that is another problem.
Thanks for the help. Best wishes to all. Bill and Lorraine Garvey
