I have a question about the Deer thing.. My daughter has 2 plants
growing in the middle of our horse pasture.. no fence around them.. the
horses graze right up to the plants but not into them and the
deer.(which graze in the pasture with the horses) never seem to go near
them... is this just a Georgia deer thing our what? Do only northern
Deer eat pumpkin? The plants are about 20 feet from the woods on one side..

Robert

Hi Robert,
Yes Northern Deer eat pumpkin and the new growth, at least at my house.
The pumpkins are very sweet and once they get bigger, they will even take a
bite or two out of the big ones. I have to cover them with a sheet, which also
 helps with the temp changes.
Good luck to you in GA.
Bill
