The granules won't adhere to leaves however imidacloprid's strength is that
it is systemic. Given a week, the vines & leaves will be toxic to many (not
all) of the pests we're after. Contrary to popular belief, the fruit won't
receive any of the chemical hence the ag versions are labeled for cucurbits.
We use the liquid version where it is soil applied for systemic
translocation & foliar sprayed.

Thanks for the info - seems like the granular form (grubex) won't
adhere so well to the underside of the leaves. Or does it matter?
Will the presence of the granules in the soil suffice?
or should I go find some liquid bifenthrin and spray the tops and
undersides of the leaves?
thanks
