Agway makes a hot pepper wax that works fine. I also use hot pepper powder from the local herb store. They can get some real hot stuff rated at 90 or 120. I used it to get rid of moles and chipmunks by pouring it down the hole. It gets on their skin and burns. Enough of a bother to get them to move to the neighbor's patch.
