I just want to? say that it is ok to spray Triazicide...it is NOT a systemic and will wash off once you have a rain and thus is less chance it will get into the fruit.
The label even gives how long after applying to lettuce.....the copy didn't work well...I'm not sure I'd use it for lettuce...but seems to be more like sevin...
anyways, I'm not a chemical expert...but I think you can spray it on pumpkins that you are going to eat....especially with the below table...
NUMBER OF DAYS TO WAIT BETWEEN THE LAST APPLICATION AND HARVEST
VEGETABLES
Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cavalo Broccoli, Cauliflower, Chinese
Broccoli, Chinese Cabbage, Chinese Mustard, Kohlrabi, Lettuce (head and leaf)
Tomato, Tomatillo, Peppers (bell and nonbell), Eggplant, Ground Cherry and
Pepino
Onions (bulb), Garlic
Corn (sweet and pop)
Asparagus beans, Snap Beans, Wax Beans, Black-Eyed Peas, Garden Peas,
Green Peas and Sugar Snap Peas
Lettuce (leaf and head)
PHI = Pre-Harvest Interval

Thanks for the responses! Steve, the sugar baby vines are dead, there are no
more anythings, so the triazicide won't be doing any damage there. sigh
And, I sprayed under the leaves with the stuff, too. I seem to have gotten
some sort of killdown. There are still a few down there, but I think I've
moved ahead of them. sigh
And I didn't kill all the bugs in the world...there were cucumber beetles,
bees, and other creatures inside my blossoms this morning when I pollinated.
Sigh.
The really good news is that I think I have a real live baby growing. I'm so
excited! HOORAY!
cheers,
