Rain

Hello,
          After 2 days of 11" growth my plant went back to its normal 6
to 8 inches per day.  It seems that always after a good rain I get a
extreme amount of growth. The more rain the longer the days of extreme
growth. There is not a lack of water in the ground dose anybody have any
idea why after a good rain this happens.
