What is this??


Hi!

Well, this year my plants are doing better than last year, they are
much bigger than this time last year.  I have 4 plants this
year in my urban back yard, got rid of more of the lawn.  However, I
noticed something on them last night.  I found some glob of stuff that
looked like black bird poop that had something like tomato seeds mixed
in it.  That is the only way I can describe the "blob".  I found at
least 3 blobs on or near each pumpkin plant, either on a leaf or on
the ground directly near the base.  This blob was only by the
pumpkins, not near the adjacent tomatoes or peppers or other plants.
I swiftly removed and destroyed each blob and sprayed each plant and
the ground with liquid sevin.  Does any one know what this blob could
be???
