Cull Completed in SD

In case anyone was waiting in breathless anticipation to find out which
two of my three pumpkins plants I would keep as discussed in earlier
postings by me. I kept the Holland 768 and Holland 739 plants and
culled the Grant 745. It really was healthy and I hated to do it, but
already the remaining plants are showing signs of enjoying the extra
space.

Unfortunately I seem to have missed the blooming of my Siamese twin
female flower(s) on the Holland 739 -- I hope they got pollinated
yesterday, but I'll know in a couple days I suppose. Interestingly one
flower had 4 lobes the other had 5! Maybe the twin male flowers just
down the vine on the same plant provided the pollen.

Anyway, thanks to those who provided assistance in making the choice of
which plant to cull. Hope I made the right call...
