Don,  I'm glad for you.  I am a newbie and was thrilled as I could be to 
have a chance to plant a 1006 which I received from a generous grower. 
I 
guess the the plant was root bound by the time I got it in the soil my
soil was a bit thick and the plant's growth is stunted.  In addition to
that my main broke and even my solution of captan did not seem to help.
There is what looks like a second main starting but the leaves are small
and I guess that's it for me this year.  but then maybe not you never
know.  
	In addition to this plant I sent to Howard Dill's company for seeds.  I
received a packet and distributed them to my friends who wanted to try
their hand at the sport.   None of the seeds germinated
I cannot believe it all of us could not have done everything wrong.  If 
any one out there takes pity on me I would love to have some seeds if
not for this year maybe next.  Thanks.  th77@columbia.edu
