I live in Orange County CA, where it's been pretty hot lately (80's to low
90's).
I planted a Zehr 968 and a Bobier (sp?) 790 in the same locale with
identically prepared soils, and have noticed they seem to have greatly
different resistance to strong sun/heat. The Bobier leaves never droop
much, but the Zehr's will fold almost completely given blazing temps.
Which made me wonder - has anyone classified the best seeds to go with
based on climate zone?
By the way, I installed a few misters which I run now during the day and
that
helps tremendously (no more drooping) - so I guess it's the heat that causes
the problem moreso than the direct sun (I haven't shaded them in any way
yet).
My fifth year and I'm still trying to break the 100lb barrier (no heavy
hitter here).
The Bobier is the best plant I've ever had and my hopes are up! This is
fun.

I have a Zehr 798 95 that is UV sensitive too.
