Farooq,
I would be happy to give you some 1006 seeds, but unfortunately I did not
grow this pumpkin we speak of, Mr. Bill Greer of Picton Ontario grew this
pumpkin last year. It was the second largest pumpkin in the world next the
Zehrs 1061 lb pumpkin also grown in 1996!
A good year!
The majority of the 1006 seeds were donated to the Ottawa St. Lawrence
Growers Assoc.. The seeds were then distributed to members of the
organization in a yearly seed raffle which is free once you have become a
member.
Another good way to obtain pedigree seeds, if these are what you are
interested in, is to write various growers of these pumpkins.
If you would like a couple of addresses to help you get started I would be
happy to provide you with a few just let me know.
Also, there are several sources for seeds posted on the pumpkin pages. In
addition Troy Nayler has provided us with a Seed Trading page on his Web
Site!
Best Regards
Chris Andersen
Moraga, Calif.
