Had that happen last year with a particular cross. It could be a combo of
genetics, to much fert, over watering. Cut back on the water see what
happens. If they still split after a reduced water for 10 days. Try the
opposite water heavy it might be fert. If they still split a week later.
then it probably is genetic too fast of growth. Then i would let as many
set on the plant as you can--- dont' cut vines and try and absorb the over
aggressive growth. It wasn't till late August I got one to set on this
aggressive plant.........A few cents worth.....Brock
