Hi Gang,
   I would love to see a weigh site close!! Not for me to go to...I had
no luck with my planting this year....I planted and lost it all. Then
the great people on the list sent me seeds and I planted...over 8 weeks
ago and I am just now getting 6/7 leaves on one plant....the others only
have about 5/6 leaves on them. So I don't know what happened. I checked
my soil...fine...I water by drip system, and I fertilize once a
week...nothing....Not my year! I would still like to see a check point
close so I could go watch. 
  One thing that has happened is we have created a very interesting
cross breed. Last year our pumpkin plants and my mothers squash were
close and we had some strange squash. This year all by itself a plant
came up in the middle of the field. It looks like a cross between the
two. The gourd that comes up is shaped like a crook neck squash but is a
lite green. We let two of them grow and we now have three 20+ inch
yellow squash that are shaped like skinny pumpkins!! Very strange. All
the people that ate the little ones loved them and wanted to know where
we bought the seeds. So we are going to let these grow and take the
seeds...you never know!
