Peter,
I just read this post and I had this last year. My plant started as you
described and I kept it in the patch to observe. By the time Joel Holland
came for a visit in August, this vine was 17 inches in width and there were
sextuplets at each female bloom site, 5-6 leaves where there is suppose to
be only one. It was a mess. If you would like I'll scan a picture of it and
send it to you. But I will not send the picture without your request. Last
time I sent pictures on this newsgroup I got hate mail. Shellie Cramer
