Next year, my sister and I are planning a big-time rejuvenation of her very
large yard. Included, will a veggie and herb and flower garden. We are both
interested in big pumpkins. I was wondering how a big guy could fit in this
area.
The top will be shrubs (small), perennials on the second tier, and the garden
area on the bottom is about 50' by 4'-5' wide. I have some seeds from Jack
LaRue (what a nice guy!!) and want to collect some more, but how can the
vines be taught that they don't own the whole place? Can pumpkins, the
biggies, be trellised in any way?
I might be able to use another spot also, but we would like to try a big
pumpkin in one of those garden areas. Anyone have any ideas?
