A couple of fertilizer questions: I read the following on Dan Langevin's "10 Steps to a Giant Pumpkin" on the web page: "By late July, use a formula that stresses potassium, such as 15-11-29. I apply water-soluble fertilizer at the rate of one to two pounds per week per plant from fruit set until the end of the growing season." Can someone give me a specific brand name I might find locally of 15-11-29? I just found some 20-20-20 and used it, but it is early August and I have some basketball+ fruit. Do I really use ONE TO TWO POUNDS PER WEEK!?!?!? Wow, I have been using tablespoons, not pounds! Yesterday, I gave each plant 2 gallons mixed according to the package (1 tbsp per gallon water). Should I mix up 10-15 gallons and give it to them today? Thanks in advance. BTW, this list is how I remember usenet a few years ago - I love it.
