Hi,
I know the stem is suppose to be perpendicular to the vine, but where is
the vine suppose to be? Do you keep the pumpkin on it's bottom & have
the vine go up over it? Or do you have the pumpkin on it's side & have
the vine go the the side of the pumpkin? I'm so excited - my pumpkin is
growing by leaps & bounds (this is my first year of growing the "big
one") and I want to do it right!... I have another pumpkin in one of my
other beds (for smaller pumpkins) & it looks more like a zuccini -
oblong shape - should be fun to see how it matures.
Also - I've heard both sides to put something under the pumpkin and then
someone said not to. Would it be okay to put a wooden pallet under the
pumpkin? I'm at a quandry.
Thanks from Bev in NC
