Help! I have what is turning into a serious problem in my patch, and if I
can't find out what's causing it I may very well be wiped out soon.
Last year,I had a plant that was healthy one day and wilting the next.i at
first thought it might be a vine borer, but there was none to be found. Then,I
noticed the plant was turning mushy in the main stem from the inside out.It
was almost as if the plant was rotting from the inside.Well,it was limited
to one plant last year, but now whatever it is has come back with a
vengance! It is fast killing 2 of my plants, and is causing the leaves to
wilt on quite a few others.I KNOW it isn't vine borers, and It really
doesn't act like the wilt caused by cucumber beetles.I'm stumped! At the rate
it's moving thru my patch, they'll all be sick in 3 days. The thing is,tere is
some brown looking crap coming out of the plant. It looks like a disease of
some sort.
