Hi all,
Just a quickie again,
Site #1 #1 627.5 (formerly the transplant)..... largest fruit sitting at 62
inches at 20 days from blossom. down to 4 fruit on this plant now. The 62
incher looks great, very long and smooth.
Site #2 827...... Largest fruit is 85 inches in circ., 189 total over the
top. Due to early stem cracks and butt ugly shape, this will probably be my
state fair pumpkin.
Down to 5 fruit on this plant now, with three being too close to call.
Site #3 850.5....... Largest fruit is 38 inches at 14 days now. Like the #1
627.5, these young fruit are very long and smooth. I am also very happy to
see giant stems forming up behind the pumpkins. I am really suprised this
plant is working out.
Site #4 #2 627.5..... I have removed my top three pumpkins from this plant
now. They are turning out to be wheels. All shoulders and no length. It is
really strange considering what the other 627 plant is putting out. Opposite
shaped fruit entirely. I am hoping the new setting will prove to be better
prospects.
Corn and sunflowers are over 13 feet now. Giant beets doing great. cabbage
forming up nicely, tomatoes turning red and big, kohlrobi finally doing well,
and everything is good in the Hester patch.
Take care all, Brett The Pumpkinguru
