Hi craig, same subject different question, I pollinated 4 flowers this
AM and some of the segments or lobes were misshapen. They weren't
clearly defined like others I've seen. One flower appeared to have 5
and 1/2 segments another 4 and 1/2. Does this in any way affect the
growth of the resulting fruit? The shapes were weird, some were broad
and others appeared split. These were on 3 of the 4 flowers I
pollinated, all were on the 916 LaRue. As a side note. Don't you just
love the fragrance of these flowers. Sweet and delicate. I hadn't
really noticed it in past years but boy do I like it.
