Not to worry, I had the same fears last week when I was pollinating
mine, talked to Chris, and everything is goodot go. I am a week into my
pollination, and the lime green attributes to the female  has turned
yellow, and the color of the finished product is a cream color with
hints of orange.. Not a squash!! I repeat, not a squash!! It is a "Dark
Horse" and dont forget it!! lol
