Has anyone's 815 Anderson set fruit yet? If so, and it's anything like
mine, you may be in for a surprise.
IT'S A SQUASH!!
The culprit seems to lie in the background of the 697 Ciliberto, the
mother of the 815. Two generations back on the father's side lies the
821 Stellphlug from 1990. It was a squash. The father of the 815, the
1006 Greer, was also produced from the 697 Ciliberto seed and therefore
has the 821 Stellphlug in it's background as well. With this in mind,
it's not all that surprising to see squash progeny from the 815.
With both the female and male equations of the Anderson 977 represented
by the 1006 Greer, we may see it producing squash as well.
