When I was younger, I used to box trap (Havahart) animals as a hobby. In
addition to bait, I would use fox urine as a lure. I caught everything
from rabbits to raccoons with it.
At best, it will have no effect deterring animals from your garden. At
worst, it will lure them in. I think someone came up with this idea
because it sounded good in theory. Reality is quite another matter.
