Good question. IF you would like a ture hybrid specimen, you always tie a brown bag or a mesh around the flower to prevent pollination. Once the flower has collasped, remove the brown bag
or mesh.
Today I have a brown bag over one of my female plant to prevent pollination. When I get home, it will be time to pollinate.
Another nice feature about putting a brown bag over the female flower is to prevent slug from eating your steman.
