How's this for a pollination story.
I went out at 6AM to pollinate my Holland 903 with my one other plant, a
Sybert 543. But there was only one male flower ready to go. So I picked
it, and inside - a dead bee. I have not used insecticide, so I decided
that this was a "sign."
First El Nino weather, then dead pollinators. Is nature telling me
someting?
So I decided to pollinate the Holland from a male on its own plant.
So, a small piece of pumpkin folk lore in the making - maybe.
