What does a squash beetle look like? does it have stripes? I found a
dead striped beetle by one of my pumpkin plants today. Andddd.... my
Dill pumpkin (which is producing a beautiful squash which I named "dill
pickle") has borers I think. I noticed a mushy hole area on the stem
near the stump portion, dug it out a little & saw a little black thing
wiggling around inside. Sooo... I grabbed a syringe & needle & injected
the areas (there were several of them) with Lindane. Hope I did the
right thing. Time will tell!!
So much for beginner's luck...I used it all up last year :-000
