Gordon,
this is mine and my husbands 3rd year growing Atlantic giants although the
biggest we got before this year was 450 lbs. year one pumpkin small , easy
to pick up. year 2 bigger, asked 6 friends to help lift(mistake was to bring
beer to the patch) everyone laughed so hard almost dropped it. year 3 bribed
highschool football squad with all you can eat tacos, great success!just
rolled the pumpkin onto a strong multi handled tarp and we were in business.
This year the hubby is determined to get an even bigger one, already have a
burial vault company with a lift truck lined up. Necessity is the mother of
