Pollen and drooping questions

Having let the bees do the dirty work last summer, this year will be the first
that I hand pollinate...Should I be able to see the pollen grains within the
male flower or are they too small to see by eye? Also, my leave along the main
about 8 feet out and beyond droop severely during the day even at 80 degrees.
Is this normal? They do perk up somewhat at the end of the day but they look
almost dead during sunlight hours.
