mossaic virus ?????????

There may be a problem in the patch.............when would the mossaic virus
be most prevalent and where on a pumpkin plant would it typically start.Would
it start on the newer growth or theolder or does it matter?All the info I get
depicts a crash and burn senario-----I'm not sure I'm ready to accept
this.(denial).And finally,if someone's plants get this virus is it destined to
return year after year?--what can I do to prevent it next year--------all
assuming that I actually have it. HELP P.S.--are there
any other leaf dIseases that look like the mossaic virus?(denial
