Hi All,
This question is for those who are good at math .
I have to tell you that when it comes to all this wonderful data on inches per
galllon per square ft. stuff I am hoplessly lost.
Just got the Marshfield Fair (Mass.)Pumpkin contest rules in the mail
today(Aug. 22 1998). Last years local winner was 220lbs. How
many inches around does my pumpkin have to be to weigh at least this much?
Now please don't give me another one of those formulas !!!! for example how
about 100inches = 150 lbs. ect. The
New England Giant Pumpkin Contest Aug. 23 1998 (note this
early date) Has a first prize of $300.00 with a bonus of $200. for braking
Don LAvangies 1996 412 lb. record. " How many inches would that
be ?" She asked wincingly.
My pumpkin is currently 27 inches around , how may inches per day would I
need to grow to reach the 220 lbs. ?? Sounds like a math quiz I had as a
child and YES ididn't do well.
So please you Math brains help me oout on this one.
