it's over

I've been mostly a "lurker" to the list for a couple of months, but, thanks
to Barb, was able to try AG for the first time this year. Didn't even know
that they existed until mid May!

Soaked 2 seed in paper towels in early June, got one plant started, but by
then our temps were well above normal. In Central Texas we're normally in
the mid 90's by now, but I can't remember a day recently below 100. No rain
since I can't remember when.

Couple of days ago the plant went totally brown. I think it was the day we
hit 109!!

I have 2 more seed frozen, will try again next year, starting in mid March
(our normal planting time) before the heat gets so intense and hopefully, we
have some spring rain that never materialized this year.

I'm saving all of the posts for the good info I'll need next year. Best of
luck to all, I'll continue to monitor the list!!
