i'm trying to train my pumpkin so that it's perpendicular to the vine.
the only problem is that there is a secondary vine in the way. (the
vine that grew right next to the pumpkin off of the main vine). can i
prune this vine off without causing irreversible damage to my fruit?
should i put some sort of an anti-fungal on the opening when i do indeed
prune?
as a side note, Langevin's new book is great! awesome pictures. I
really like his "tale of the tape". But it's a little dissheartening to
find out so early in the season that i won't be growing a 1000lb
monster. I guess there's always next year.
