measurement problem



John,
      there's nothing wrong with your math.  as a matter of fact i was
doing the same thing the other day and came to the same conclusion as
you.  i think it must be a misprint, or possibly only works on larger
specimens.  did you get Langevins sequal?
it's full of great stuff, and has a chart with over the top measurements
and their accompanying weights.  it's great reference, as long as it's
correct.  i'm not, however, about to start cutting my pumpkins off the
vine just yet to test it out!    good luck
