I would find something to shade the pumpkin in that heat....then build a
permanent shade structure later.........below is an example of the way the
plant should look after you prune the tertiary vines......The "O"
represents the main vine then off that main vine are the secondary vines or
the lines(-)....most don't prune them till they reach the desired length or
the edge of you patch its the small vines that come off the
secondaries.....you can pinch these as soon as you see the little
buds.......pinch females(baby pumpkins at this time also...good luck brock
