Fwd: Vine positioning

The fence was made of chicken wire and it was buried about 4 inches. That
wasn't nearly enough. A determined groundhog can dig an amazingly big hole.

What kind of wire are you using on the ground. You might try chicken wire
just under the surface a few inches. I don't know if they can chew through
this or not. You will have to haul dirt to the plant to cover the vines. I
haven't tried this, it's only an idea. I'm lucky, I don't have these little
critters to deal with.
