When you buried the main vine you may have prevented the growth of secondary vines. THis may be why you have so few leaves. Marv in Altoona PA

I have a 40 lb pumpkin about 10 ft out that seems to have stopped growing about a week ago. Any reason why? It looks healthy, is in the shade under its' cover. I have buried the vine all the way out to it, and there is a relative paucity of leaves between it and the original vine--can too few leaves stunt growth? Need more water? more??? thanks for any advice. . .B --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@mallorn.com with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PUMPKINS
