Well you have to wonder....
You may remember my last post about having three sick runts,my back ups.
With no time or seeds (lost first planting) I have decided this year is a wash
out then.....my 7yr old daughter yesterday excitedly brought me a laundry soap
scoop full of dirt with a pumpkin sprout in it!
She planted it with a seed she found tucked in folded paper belonging to her
I had in my pocket the day we planted the others a month ago, and had been sitting
on her dresser.
It is long and gangly,and has very small seed leaves,was root bound, but we
planted it outside in the patch!
Now if I it can escape what I think is a fungus desease that I suspect was imported
in some compost/soil mix we may have something for halloween at least!
