Born on the 4th of July

I am a small patch grower (8feet by 15feet), and I was wondering about
the progress from other growers that are doing the same in a small
space.

I water every day with fish emulsion, fertilize every 5 days (originally
with 15-30-15, but now with 20-20-20), and I let the vines go onto my
lawn. Since my garden is so small, I have really been able to push the
envelope with fertilization and soil preparation. My only question, is
will my small garden size limit my final fruit size? I only dug down
about 2 feet, and I wonder if the main tap roots will feel restricted.

I have a 20' main vine, with 2 fruit set on July 1 and July 4 (Canada
Day and the 4th of July, for trivia buffs). I have called the first one
John Candy (canadian), and the second one Chris Farley (American, I
think). John Candy is calm and growing slowly (size of a baseball),
Chris Farley is wild and is taking off (size of a softball).

Any status updates from backyard growers would be appreciated.
