Odd shaped pumpkin

Is there any danger or advantage to a pumpkin growing like a pear. The
stem end of my pumpkin is not growing as fast as the blossom side. Also,
one side, namely the left side is growing out more thatn the right side so
my pumpkin is lopsided. Is this going to be a problem. Also, the shoulders
are getting close to touching the vine. What kind of a problem will this be
and how can I fix it
