Storm Damage Stress Affects On Growth

Both Pumpkins that had leaf blow down during the storm yesterday had a growth
rate drop of 1". It would appear that the plant diverts energy from fruit
growth to repair cell damage in the plant. I sprayed the plants with a
foliar spray of Liquid Fish & Seaweed plus gave then 2 gallons of Nitron at
the root zone. Tomorrow they will receive 4 gallons of Liquid Fish & Seaweed
at the compost feeding zones and a heavy watering. That should help them
through the stress and get the ready for the next warm spell coming up by
Friday.
