Hello Group!!
Been working hard in the patch!! (18 miles one way) Kinda have a problem
going on! I have 7 AG (600+Llbs & up) plants started from seeds I got from
the group. The guy that is letting me grow in his fields, who usely has a
veg. business every year! I gave him some of my smaller AG
#375 and small seeds. He started in the greenhouse April 1st, Mine April
18th. Guess who has pumpkins the size of two basketballs and growing over
night Fast!! Great!! Tears.....
I have been the one who has been taking care of his plants, hoeing,
fertilizing, because I feel Alltel obligated to do since he is letting me
grow there. He says I can take his to the fair! I told him I am not going
unless I grow my own from my row. But if you think about it I am doing 95%
of the work . My row is very strong and have passed his by size & total
leaves and have just set two pumpkins. Its very hard hoeing someone else's
pumpkins. Plus lastnight I was putting Styrofoam under his pumpkins. I told
him I am going to start to bringing a box of tissues.. I guess the question
would you feel Ok with taking one of his pumpkins to the fair?
Its kinda like the fishing pole story where you caught this huge fish on
someone else's pole. Any thoughts...
