the slugs and snails really do eat the small ones. I had two growing on
secondary vines and I thought they were ok. The next thing I knew there was
a whole in them and a little slimmy thing inside the pumpkin. My next goal
after growing my giant pumpkin is to eliminate all snails and slugs. And
don't write me back saying they are good for something and are needed in the
ecosystem. I am just going to kill the ones in my yard and for a 10 mile
radius and the worlds ecosystem will be fine
