Same here on Long Island Wayne.....got them getting brittle too.Doesn't look
like fungus or mildew but have that sandpapery feel and texture to the older
ones....kinda looks like little pin tips all over the leaf that are
silvery/white.Tough-tough spring/summer so far on these leaves...very intense
sun(why does it feel stronger than usual this year?) and NO rain,plus I've
already recorded 102,102 ,101,94,96,92,99,95 and 94 plus its 97 out now at
12:30 pm......I think last year we had two days over 92 all summer......these
conditions have to be beating up these leaves terribly...I know its putting a
hurt on me............
