We used a gallon for every other foot alternating each side of the vines. so
it was about 10 containers along the main vine from the hill, and about 4 for
each secondary. This equaled about a half inch of water, and we did it twice
a week to equal one inch a week. Actually this method was combined with
others, like the traditional sprinklers, etc. But the idea was to equal about
1 to 1.5 inches of water a week, depending on the weather conditions.
